Mineral Mining Services is excited to announce the contract extension with Karora Resources at the Higginsville Operation. MMS has been awarded both the Load and Haul and Drill and Blast services at the Pioneer Pit with mobilisation commencing in July 2023.
Pioneer Pit is a greenfield operation in which MMS will also complete the civil and establishment works for a 30km haul road to connect Pioneer pit to the Higginsville Mill. The Pioneer Pit will be completed with a fleet of 3 x Cat 777G and 3 x Cat 773G trucks and a new Cat 6015b excavator fitted with the latest Trimble high precision GPS. The 150-tonne class excavator has delivered great results on previous pits with the 100 tonne class trucks showing great advantages with precision on mining narrow ore blocks but still allowing the waste to be excavated more cost effectively.
