Mineral Mining Services (MMS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jason Walker as our new General Manager Mining. Jason brings over 20 years of proven experience in the mining industry, encompassing operational leadership, project management, and a strong track record of delivering successful outcomes in challenging environments.
Jason’s career spans a wide range of critical mining functions, including exploration, drill and blast operations, and senior management roles. Most recently, he served as Mine Manager and Quarry Manager at Covalent Lithium’s Mount Holland project, where he was responsible for overseeing all mining and technical services.
Prior to his role at Mount Holland, Jason spent over a decade with MACA Mining, progressing through various leadership positions, including Project Manager, Mine Superintendent, and Drill & Blast Supervisor. His experience spans nickel, lithium, and gold projects across Western Australia, demonstrating his versatility and depth of industry knowledge.
Jason’s qualifications are extensive, including a Diploma in Surface Extraction Operations Management, Cert IV in Leadership & Management, and Cert IV in Project Management. He holds an Unrestricted Quarry Managers Ticket with explosives, a Site Senior Executive certification, and a West Australian Shot Firers License, among other crucial industry certifications. His practical skills are equally impressive, with proficiency in operating a wide range of heavy machinery and expertise in blast design and execution.

He is commercially astute, proficient in incident investigation (ICAM), and adept at ensuring legislative and company compliance.
