MMS: A month-by-month journey through a year of success

2024 has been a remarkable year for Mineral Mining Services (MMS), filled with exciting milestones and achievements. Join us as we take a month-by-month journey through a year of growth, innovation, and success:

2024

January

We kicked off the year by welcoming Adrian Coffey as our new Mining Manager, bringing a wealth of experience to our contract mining division.

March

Expanded our fleet with the addition of a powerful Hitachi EX1200-7 excavator, equipped with the latest energy-optimising features.

Celebrated a significant win with a $200 million Load and Haul contract awarded by Silver Lake Resources for their Mount Monger operation.

April

Launched a successful recruitment drive for Heavy Duty Mechanics to join our workshop team on an exciting 54-month project.

May

Secured a multi-year mine site service contract with Covalent Lithium at the Mount Holland Operation, overseeing critical load and haul operations.

Won a contract with Black Cat Syndicate for the development and processing of the Myhree and Boundary open pits at the Kal East Gold Project.

June

Commenced ground clearing at the Myhree and Boundary open pits, marking the beginning of our operations at the Kal East Gold Project.

July

Mobilised a production fleet of CAT 777 haul trucks and Hitachi EX1900 and EX1200 excavators to the Myhree site.

Achieved a major milestone by mining the first ore at Myhree, two months ahead of schedule.

August

Delivered the first ore to the mill at Myhree, exceeding initial production targets by 40%.

Won a 12-month load and haul contract with Vault Minerals at their Mt Monger “French Kiss” operations.

September

Formed a joint venture with Corinthian Mining to bring the Wealth of Nations pit into production.

Took delivery of a brand-new Hitachi EX-1200 excavator for the Myhree mine site.

Continued our commitment to community engagement by sponsoring the WASM Football Club and supporting the WA Mining Club.

Added another 200-tonne Hitachi EX1900 excavator to our growing fleet at Myhree.

October

Celebrated the first gold pour from the Myhree pit in partnership with Black Cat Syndicate.

Secured the ROM loading contract at the Mount Holland Covalent Lithium project.

Achieved record-breaking earthmoving results at Myhree through optimised planning and productivity improvements.

Established a new Technical Services Team comprised of experienced engineering and geology professionals Emma Edwards, Nathan Ramm, and Huanru Si.

Welcomed Robert Ryan as our new CEO, bringing extensive leadership experience to MMS.

Appointed David Smith as our new Chief Operating Officer (COO), further strengthening our leadership team.

November

Deployed two brand-new upgraded CAT loaders to the Covalent Lithium Mine at Mount Holland.

Acquired the East Sampson Gold Project from Moho Resources, expanding our project portfolio.

Featured in International Mining magazine, highlighting our innovative approach to mining contracting in the Goldfields region.

MMS West Perth Office Team Photo

Expanded our Technical Services team with the addition of Rob Seale, an experienced estimator.

Opened a new head office in West Perth, providing a modern and collaborative workspace for our growing team.
